This Dunsborough property was due for its scheduled 12-month cartridge change on their Vortex Pro 3, and the owners took the opportunity to upgrade to our increasingly popular Dura Scale X setup at the same time.
What a annual filter change involves
Twelve months of filtering Dunsborough’s mains water leaves its mark. The sediment, GPSS and carbon cartridges pulled from this system had gone from bright white and cream to noticeably discoloured, picking up sediment, chlorine and everything else you don’t want flowing through your taps. It’s not a sign anything went wrong, it’s exactly what you want to see: proof the Vortex Pro 3 has been doing its job every single day.
We replaced all three cartridges as part of the scheduled service, restoring the system to full performance for another twelve months of cleaner, better-tasting water at every tap.
Upgrading to Dura Scale X at the same visit
While we were there, the owners asked about adding Dura Scale X, our anti-scale filter pack that’s fast becoming one of our most requested upgrades. Rather than pulling the whole system apart or scheduling a separate job, we fitted it as part of the same filter maintenance and servicing visit.
It means the owners now get the same clean, filtered water they’ve had for the past year, plus dedicated protection against limescale and calcium build-up on their tapware, shower screens and hot water system, without a water softener, salt or brine tank in sight.
Still looking brand new after 12 months
One thing that stood out during this service call: after a full year outdoors, the Vortex Pro 3 housing still matched perfectly, looking as good as the day it was installed. It’s a small detail, but a good sign of a system built to handle the South West climate for the long haul, not just the water running through it.
