Terms and Conditions

The terms that apply when you use this website or engage Dunsborough Water Filtration to supply, install or service a water filtration system.

These terms and conditions apply to your use of this website and to any goods and services supplied by Dunsborough Water Filtration (ABN 33 025 751 072), referred to below as "we", "us" or "our". By using this website, requesting a quote or engaging us to supply, install or service a water filtration system, you agree to these terms.

1. About us

Dunsborough Water Filtration is a locally owned business based in Dunsborough, Western Australia. We supply, install and maintain whole-home water filtration systems across the South West. All plumbing work is carried out by, or under the supervision of, a licensed WA Plumbing Contractor (Licence No. PL8180).

2. Quotes and pricing

Quotes are prepared based on the information you provide and, where applicable, a site visit. A quote is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued unless stated otherwise. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST unless noted. If site conditions differ from what was quoted (for example, additional plumbing, access issues or water quality that requires a different system), we will discuss any change in cost with you before proceeding.

3. Payment

Payment terms will be set out on your quote or invoice. We may ask for a deposit before ordering a system, with the balance due on completion of installation. Goods remain our property until paid for in full. Overdue accounts may incur reasonable costs of recovery.

4. Installation and site access

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property on the agreed installation date, including access to the water supply, power (where required) and the proposed location of the system. If we are unable to complete the work because access was not available, a call-out fee may apply. Installation locations are agreed with you before work starts and we will leave the site clean and tidy on completion.

5. Products and performance

The systems we supply are designed to reduce sediment, chlorine, taste, odour and other contaminants as described in the manufacturer's specifications. Actual performance depends on your water source, water quality, usage and how regularly filters are replaced. Nothing on this website should be taken as a guarantee that a system will remove a specific contaminant from a specific water supply unless this is confirmed in writing in your quote.

6. Warranty

Systems we supply come with the manufacturer's warranty, the details of which are provided with your system and quote. Our installation work is covered by a workmanship warranty in line with Australian Consumer Law and the requirements of the WA plumbing regulator. Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, failure to replace filters at the recommended intervals, modifications by others, or water conditions outside the system's stated operating range. The benefits under these warranties are in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Filter replacement and servicing

Filter cartridges and UV lamps are consumable items and need to be replaced at the intervals recommended for your system and water supply. We offer a filter replacement and servicing program and will contact you when your system is due, but it remains your responsibility to ensure filters are replaced. We also service and replace filters for whole-home systems supplied by other manufacturers where compatible cartridges are available.

8. Cancellations and changes

If you need to cancel or reschedule an installation or service visit, please give us as much notice as possible, and at least 48 hours where you can. Where a system has been ordered specifically for your job, a cancellation after the order has been placed may be subject to a restocking fee or forfeiture of the deposit.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the supply, installation or use of a system. Where the Australian Consumer Law applies, our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited, at our option, to the replacement or repair of the goods, or the resupply of the services, or the cost of doing so. Nothing in these terms excludes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

10. Use of this website

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
