Professional installation, done right the first time
A filtration system only performs as well as its installation. Our local team fits your system tidily and correctly so it works perfectly from day one.
All plumbing work is completed by Danny Tuffin, a licensed WA Plumbing Contractor (PL8180), leaving you with a clean, compliant and reliable setup. We supply and install the Vortex Pro 3 and Ultra V Pro 3, and we also install and service whole-home filters you have bought elsewhere.

Already have a filter? We can install that too
Our first choice for South West homes is the WFD Vortex Pro 3 for scheme water and the Ultra V Pro 3 for tank and bore, and we are happy to supply and install either. But plenty of people arrive with a system they have already bought, and that is fine with us.
If you have a whole-home filter from Complete Home Filtration, Puretec, CloudTap or any of the other major suppliers, Danny can install it properly, to WA plumbing standards, and keep it running with filter replacements and servicing down the track. You do not need to be a Dunsborough Water Filtration customer to use us, you just need to reach out.
Bought it elsewhere?
Bring us the unit and the manufacturer’s install guide and we take it from there. Online purchase, hardware store, another supplier, it makes no difference.
Installed to standard
Licensed plumbing, correct isolation and pressure protection, mounted where it works and looks right. The same care we give our own systems.
Supported afterwards
We can supply and fit replacement cartridges for most brands and put your system on the same reminder schedule as everyone else we look after. See filter replacement.
What a whole-home installation involves
A whole-home (point of entry) system is plumbed into the mains line where water enters the property, so every tap, shower and appliance gets filtered water. It is a different job from an under-sink unit and it is why the work needs a licensed plumber. On a typical install we:
New builds, renovations and existing homes
On a new build or renovation the easiest time to add whole-home filtration is before the walls close, so we are glad to work with your builder or plumber on where the system sits and what pipework it needs. On an existing home the system is fitted to the incoming main, usually in a day, with the water off for only part of it. Either way the first step is the same: tell us what water you are on and we will recommend the right system or confirm the one you have.
Scheme water
Dunsborough, Busselton, Vasse and most of the towns along the coast. The Vortex Pro 3 with the kit that suits your water.
Tank and rainwater
Rural blocks and off-grid homes. The Ultra V Pro 3 adds UV sterilisation to the filtration so the water is safe to drink.
Bore water
Bores vary enormously across the region, so we start with a water quality test and build the system around the result.
Installation FAQs
Can you install a water filter I bought somewhere else?
Yes. Complete Home Filtration, Puretec, CloudTap or any other major brand, bought online or in store. Send us the model and we will confirm what is involved and quote the install.
Do I need a licensed plumber to install a whole-home filter?
In WA, yes. A whole-home system is plumbed into the mains supply, so the work has to be done by a licensed plumbing contractor and the fittings need to be WaterMark certified. Danny holds WA Plumbing Contractor licence PL8180.
How long does an installation take?
Most standard installs on an existing home are completed in a single visit, with the water off for only part of it. We confirm the timing at the site check, and anything unusual (long pipe runs, a tricky location, a new build) is discussed before we start.
Where does the system go?
On the incoming main, on the cold line, before the hot water system. Common spots are beside the meter, on the side of the house or in the garage. We look for somewhere with room to change cartridges and, ideally, out of full sun.
Will you service a filter you did not install?
Yes. We supply and fit replacement cartridges and service whole-home systems across the South West regardless of who installed them. See maintenance and servicing.
What areas do you cover?
Dunsborough, Busselton, Vasse, Yallingup, Cowaramup, Margaret River, Eagle Bay and the surrounding South West. If you are a little further out, ask, we may still be able to help.
What does installation cost?
It depends on the system and the site. Request a quote or call Danny on 0452 259 399 for a price.

Keep Your Water at Its Best Simple, scheduled filter changes, so your system never skips a beat.
Even the best filtration system relies on fresh filters to keep doing its job. Over time, cartridges and media capture everything you don't want in your water, and once they're full, performance drops off. We make replacements easy: we track your system, let you know when a change is due, and handle the swap for you. No guesswork, no drop in water quality, just clean, great-tasting water flowing through every tap in your home.
