This Vortex Pro 3, fitted with the HydroFlow filter kit, was installed at a Margaret River home where the owner had very limited space to work with.
Making the most of a tight side yard
The install location was a narrow strip running down the side of the house, already home to the gas hot water unit, an irrigation controller and a stacked meter box, hemmed in by a timber fence on one side and the home’s stone-clad wall on the other. There wasn’t room to spare, and the owner was clear about what they wanted: the system fitted neatly below the home’s bay window rather than taking up any more of the walkway.
We worked out a compact position tight against the wall, directly under the window sill, keeping the path beside it fully clear while still leaving the unit fully accessible for filter changes down the track.

Safe, filtered water with the HydroFlow upgrade
This Vortex Pro 3 was fitted with the HydroFlow filter kit, which takes filtration a step further than the standard configuration. Alongside the usual sediment, chlorine, taste and odour reduction, the HydroFlow cartridge removes pathogens including E. coli, Cryptosporidium and Giardia, making the water safe to drink straight from the tap.
For this home, that means whole-home filtration and genuine drinking water safety from a single compact unit, without a separate under-sink filter or bottled water in sight.

A neat fit below the window
We supplied and installed the system connected on copper pipework run down from an isolation valve at the wall, tucked in below the window sill exactly as requested. It sits flush against the house, out of the way of the path and the existing hot water and irrigation gear, without compromising access for future servicing.
