These Dunsborough clients had their Vortex Pro 3 fitted more than two years ago. This visit was their second cartridge change, and they’re as happy with the system today as they were the day it was installed.
What happens at a cartridge change
With the cover off, all three filter housings and their pressure gauges are easy to get to. We remove the used cartridges, clean out the housings, fit a fresh set and check everything is running at the right pressure before the cover goes back on. The photo below shows the old and new cartridges side by side, and you can see how much the used ones have captured before it ever reached a tap inside the house.

Why regular changes matter
Cartridges are designed to be replaced around every 12 months. Once they’ve done their job, filtration performance drops and water flow can start to suffer. Keeping to a regular schedule means the system keeps doing what it was installed to do, year after year. You can read more about what’s involved on our filter replacement and filter maintenance and servicing pages.
Two years on and still happy
A well looked after Vortex Pro 3 just keeps going. It’s great to see clients coming back for their next change, still happy with their water.
